I began my career in mental health in 2008. I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings ranging from crisis intervention to one-on-one treatment. I counseled with at-risk youth and families struggling with an array of issues; each with their own unique story to tell. What I learned from collaborating with clients is that each of us has such a beautiful story to be told and to be held with the utmost respect.

I acquired a Master's degree in Psychology Counseling at The Seattle School. While working on that degree I was employed with various community service agencies. This afforded the opportunity to experience a diversity of settings in which to grow as a therapist. These experiences ranged from entering client's homes, to counseling clients in a one-on-one office setting and to locating community opportunities for clients. One creative opportunity used a teen snowboarding program to couple learning how to snowboard with relationship building and therapy. Each agency and client influenced and impacted who I am and my approach in therapy.

My desire is to serve my clients by exploring what they hope and desire for themselves.

In 2016, I began what I called my "body project". During this time, I trained to become a certified yoga instructor to better learn the body and nervous system. This opened doors for me to connect with a professional in Cranial Sacral work, Atlas work, Acupuncture, different natural and medical modalities that offer support and awareness to how our bodies communicate to us if we are able to slow down to listen and to learn. I have received training in Pia Melody work called Post Induction Training. I continue to seek out opportunities for instruction by other Trauma professionals and other disciplines, e.g. Somatic Experiences. I have been so blessed for the training and guidance I have had both professionally and personally and value the opportunity to grow.
